After 44 years working here in the same Rochester neighborhood, I will be retiring from the automotive and radiator repair business at the end of the month. If you had told me in 1979 when I first opened this business that I would still be here in 2023, I wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are. My business that started out as a one-man radiator repair shop ended up growing into a full-service auto repair business. I didn’t do it alone though. I was fortunate to have several great guys to work with through the years: Dennis, Eric and many others. Some stayed longer than others, but overall we worked together as a team to keep our clients’ cars maintained and repaired when they needed it. Seven years ago Noel joined our team and it was then that I started to think about the possibility of retirement. He had not only good technical skills, but also a good attitude. So, here we are in 2023 and Noel and his wife Bonnie will be taking over ownership of Rochester Radiator starting May 1st. Noel has been lead technician for several years now and with Bonnie managing the office and front desk, I know that I am leaving our customers in good hands. You can expect very little to change except that I will not be here. It’s time for me to retire and do more gardening, fishing and maybe even some more traveling. Before I leave, I wanted you to know that through all of these years many of you became more than just “customers” to me, you became friends and I thank you for that. Take care everyone,
Mike
